Interior planning must anticipate these interfaces early enough for architecture and engineering teams to coordinate them properly.

Finishes and joinery also need to be selected for cleaning, durability, maintenance and operational use rather than visual preference alone.

Where works take place in an operating facility, access, dust, noise, temporary routes, isolation, shutdowns and handover sequencing become part of the design-and-delivery problem. Phasing needs to be developed with the facility team, not added after construction starts.
